Chambre Carlton

First Grade Teacher

Chambre Carlton Bio

Welcome to First Grade!

My name is Chambre Carlton! I am thrilled to be at Wilmeth Elementary and get to teach with an amazing first-grade team and the best administrators and staff I could have asked for.  I could not be more excited to start this year off with a BANG!

I was born in Plano, TX but I grew up in McKinney and have lived here for the majority of my life. I attended elementary, middle and high school in McKinney ISD, graduating from McKinney Boyd High School. I attended Stephen F. Austin State University (Axe em’ Jacks) and earned a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies EC-6. I am currently certified in ESL (English as a second language) as well. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, traveling, crafting, swimming, watching movies and hanging out with my friends and family.

I have such a passion for teaching. The look on the children’s faces when the “light bulb” goes off or hearing their laughter while interacting with their peers is what made we want to be a teacher and continues to bring me back to the classroom each year. My goal this year is to make learning as fun and hands-on as possible so your children can reach their greatest potential and grow up to do amazing things inside and outside the classroom! We are going to have a great year together, learning, growing, laughing and making great memories!
