Jessica Johnson

Fifth Grade Teacher

Jessica Johnson Bio

I absolutely LOVE teaching 5th grade because it’s very special to be a part of this time in the child’s life. Life has taught me that I was meant to be a teacher. As soon as I figured that out, I went to The University of Texas at Dallas, where I received my teaching certification along with a bachelor’s degree in child learning and development. I am married to my wonderful husband, and we are major board game enthusiasts and love to travel.

In my classroom, I am a strong believer in the “work hard, play hard” philosophy. Fifth grade can be challenging, but it is also extremely fun and rewarding. I push my students to their maximum potential while reminding them that once in a while it is okay to make a mistake, a joke, or just dance it out! Overall, I absolutely love all my students in their own special way because they are a big reason why I get up every day!
