Heather Piñero Bio
Heather Piñero serves the #McClureMarshals as the assistant principal of McClure Elementary in McKinney ISD. She has 8 years of experience in education as a 4th and 5th grade classroom teacher and an Instructional Coach serving students in K-5th. Within these roles, she has maintained a focus on supporting students and educators, improving academic outcomes for all students, and developing a strong collaborative culture on campus.
Heather has been an active member in numerous campus and community initiatives and coalitions including serving as the co-coordinator for Student Council at Webb Elementary School in McKinney ISD, the Secretary for Bilingual/ESL Education Association of the Metroplex during the 2018-2019 school year, and on McKinney ISD’s curriculum writing teams for English Language Arts and Reading and Mathematics. In leading professional development for educators across the DFW metroplex, Heather has focused primarily on improving English Language acquisition, increasing student engagement on campus, and improving students’ literacy skills.
