Access the McKinney ISD Digital Library

Did you know there are two digital content collections available to you as a MISD student? Use Follett Shelf and the Overdrive Digital Library to choose from thousands of ebooks and audiobooks available for check out. Students can use their MISD accounts to send books to a computer, Kindle, Nook, or iOS device or listen to audiobooks on a computer, smartphone or e-reader.

To access the Follett Shelf Library Collection:

From a computer –
  • Open a browser window and go to the library catalog at fsc2.mckinneyisd.net
  • Click the Follett Shelf button (bottom left)
  • Browse, borrow, and make book lists with your unique student ID number:
    Username: s + six digit ID (s123456)
    Password: 8 digit birthday (mmddyear)
From a device –

To access the Overdrive Digital Library:

  • Open a browser window and go to mckinneyisdtx.libraryreserve.com OR download the free Overdrive App to search for books on your device
  • Browse, borrow, and make book lists with your unique account:
    Username: s + six digit ID (s123456)
    Password: 8 digit birthday (mmddyear)

Students can check out two elementary level items at a time for two weeks and teachers can check out two items from any level. All MISD schools share the same Overdrive collection, so if a book you want isn’t available put it on your wish list and try again later.

Using the digital libraries can sometimes be a little tricky the first time you try it, feel free to bring your device to the learning commons for assistance or ask Mrs. Hamilton for help.

Tumblebooks:

 Tumblebooks are digital books with audio for kids. Many are animated, talking picture books with games and puzzles. Books play directly in your internet browser window, so there is no software or files to download to your computer. Login with our school username and password, or use the embedded link below for direct access.
