Michelle Luthman Bio

Hello parents and families! My name is Michelle Luthman, the co-teacher of the lovely Miss Alyssa and Miss Kimie. I’m super happy to be at Lawson again. This is my 20th year as an ECSE (Early Childhood Special Education) teacher in McKinney ISD. Here is a little info about me. I am from Ohio. I go home pretty much every break that we have from school so I can see my parents and younger brother and his family. I have a wonderful husband who I have been married to for 17 years. We have 2 dogs named Pippi and Clive. I went to Bowling Green State University and graduated with a degree in Art History and two-dimensional studies (painting, drawing, printmaking, and anything that is 2-D). I have a Masters in Art History from UNT. I went back to school to teach special education because I knew that it was meant for me. I love shoes and Starbucks! My favorite color is blue. I speak Spanish (not as fluently now) because I lived in Spain for a year during high school. I like to run, paint, read, watch horror movies, and I have an addiction to deals of the day on Amazon. Your children bring me joy every day, and I am so excited for the school year.
