Michelle Baumann Bio
My name is Michelle Baumann, and I am the Principal at Reuben Johnson Elementary. I graduated with a degree in Elementary Education focusing on Early Childhood Education from Texas A&M-Kingsville and later earned a master’s degree from Stephen F. Austin. I enjoy visiting my family in South Texas. We spend our time fishing and going to the beach – two of my favorite things!
I began my career in education as a pre-kindergarten teacher for Bryan ISD. I then taught first grade for Driscoll ISD. While working for Cy-Fair ISD, I taught pre-kindergarten, second grade, and then served as an Intervention Specialist focusing on student behavior. I moved to Melissa with my husband in 2007, and I joined the McKinney ISD family as a fourth grade teacher at RJE. After two years with the fourth grade team, I served as a Response to Intervention Specialist for RJE and Valley Creek Elementary.
In 2011, my dream of serving as an administrator came true when I accepted the position of Assistant Principal at RJE. After serving in that role for four years, I was very honored to become the Principal for our Jaguar family. I am personally challenged, inspired and motivated to lead our school by growing every child, every day. Supporting all of our Jaguars, as they become effective communicators, quality contributors, and socially responsible citizens is my passion and great honor.
