Melanie Allison-Dean

Fourth Grade Teacher

Melanie Allison-Dean Bio

Hello RJE!  My name is Melanie Allison-Dean.  I began teaching 4th grade at RJE in 2018!  I have been teaching in public schools continually since 1987. I graduated with a B.S. in Elementary Education from Eastern Kentucky University, Richmond, Kentucky, and my Masters in General Education from Lindenwood University, St. Charles, Missouri.  I have taught in Georgia, Missouri, Plano, San Antonio, Houston, and finally McKinney. During my years of teaching, I have also lived in Lima, Peru as a student missionary, studied non-graded schools at Oxford University in England, and through a charity called LiberiaNow, supplied new libraries in 7 village schools and taught teachers reading techniques in Monrovia, Africa. Teaching and serving others is my passion.  My family and I anxiously moved to Frisco in July of 2018 from Spring, Texas. My husband and I have been married since 1996 and have two teenage sons, Jordan and Conner. The DFW area has been a place I’ve been visiting my Aunt June (retired Plano elementary teacher) since I was 10 years old. Moving here is like “coming home.” Let’s have a great year of growing and learning the Jaguar Way! ROAR!
