Community Involvement

Partners in Education
At Finch, we value partnerships with community members in the education of our children.  As it is stated on the  MISD Partners in Education page, we believe that educating a child is a community project. Mentors give of their time each week to tutor and develop mentor relationships with students to support them in their learning.

Adopt a School
Through 3E McKinney,  students and staff members have developed a partnership with First Baptist McKinney.

Mad Scientist Day
Raytheon provides an annual grant to sponsor Mad Scientist Day , a day of science fun packed with hands-on learning activities.

The Kiwanis Club of McKinney
Through their Terrific Kids program, The  Kiwanis Club of McKinney has supported many learning opportunities for the students at Finch. This year they have provided funding for our Reading Palooza literacy projects.

Viewpoint Bank

Viewpoint Bank has provided grants to provide take-home book bags, supplies to support study skills for fifth graders to make a  smooth transition to middle school and non-fiction materials to support social studies and reading.

Office Max

Office Max in McKinney sponsored the Be a Buddy not a Bully Rally for the students at Finch. They provided funding for T-shirts for each student with the “Be a Buddy” logo.
