Melissa Ringel

Music Teacher

Melissa Ringel Bio

I am the music specialist at Eddins Elementary where I teach general music and serve as the director of the Eddins Honor Choir and the Eddins Wildcat Choir. I have been teaching at Eddins since 2009 and love it! While teaching at Eddins, the honor choir has been selected to perform at the 2015 and 2011 Texas Music Educators Association conventions.

Prior to teaching at Eddins, I taught in Mesquite ISD, Midlothian ISD, and Frisco ISD. In Frisco, I taught at Boals Elementary where my honor choir was invited to perform at the 2009 and 2006 TMEA conventions. From 2011 to 2014, I served as an adjunct professor for Texas A&M University-Commerce. I hold a bachelor of music degree in flute performance from the University of Kentucky, a master of music degree in flute performance from Florida State University, and an artist certificate for flute from Southern Methodist University.   I live in McKinney with my husband and two children, Caroline and Eli.
